Re: Mary Fisher daughter for Abraham

Gail, I saw your reply.

I am a descendent of Catherine Fischer (b. 1850 Pettis cty) daughter of Stephen Fischer and Anna G. Walterscheidt. The family moved to Moniteau by 1853. Catherine married Jos. Yoest in Tipton in 1868.

Any relation??

Just curious.

Thanks, Jeffrey

Probably not. Virutally all of the family spell the last name Fisher. The German version was truly Fischer, but they dropped the "c" from the name when they came to America. although I have found some records with the "c" in the name.

Gail,

This is the only place I could figure to find you. Great post on Adam Fisher, etc. I noticed on another web site (http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/b/r/o/Gail-Brown-...) you had some summary information that said Johannes Adam Fisher came on the ship Friendship October 16, 1727. I checked that on the Palatine web site, and I did not see Johannes Adam Fisher on the passenger list. (http://www.progenealogists.com/palproject/pa/1727friend.htm). How did you get your information on the immigration?

Thanks,

I also am a descendant of Johann Adam Fisher.
My question(s) are these:

Do you know who he was married to? or when he died?
Do you know any of his ancestors?
(I descend through Adam - Adam Jr - Henry - William McKendree - Benjamin Franklin - Mattie Fizallen (Fisher) Newsom - Carroll Newsom

Go to this website: http://www.moniteau.net/moniteaucemetery.htm

Then scroll down and go through the cemeteries there. I found a lot of my ancestors there (Suggs/Wright/Fisher families)

I noticed you have done extensive research on the Suggs family. Has anyone (male with Suggs last name)in your family ever had his YDNA tested? A few branches of the family have tested on www.familytreedna.com under the Suggs Surname. It would be great to have your branch in the database to find lost relatives.

Thanks,

Linda Suggs Kirk
