The Joseph Dukes who lived in the Cattle Creek area and whose dates are sometimes given as those you list died by about 1768, before the Revolution. I don't think anyone knows where he was buried, although it is surely in the Cattle Creek area. The Cattle Creek campground is reached by driving east on Cattle Creek Rd. from Hwy. 21 between Rowesville and Branchville. The cemetery you mention is probably either the Archie Dukes cemetery or the Thomas Edmund Dukes cemetery. Joseph's sons Thomas and George Alexander Dukes fought in the Revolution, but not with Gen.
