Hello Adrian!
I answered one of your other posts a while back:
http://boards.ancestry.com/localities.northam.canada.british...I saw this one and did a bit more digging. There was an obituary for Winifred in the Times:
Last Name: Greenwood
First Name: Winnifred M. (Mrs. William H.)
Date of Death: 1930.03.16
Age: 44
Place: Victoria, BC
Reference: Tim 1930.03.17,15 - 18,13 - 20,15
Contact the City of Victoria Archives and they can send you a copy. Just quote the above information and they can probably email it to you. Hopefully it may contain some useful information.

archives@victoria.caHere are the listings from the Victoria directories which gives a little bit of a time frame to Williams career here:
1921: brick-maker living at #16 711 Field Street
1922: no listing
1923: living at #16 Field Apartments
1924: fireman at the Drill Hall living at 1727 First Street
1925: fireman at the Armouries living at 1727 First Street
1926, 1927 and 1928: living at 1727 First Street
1929: Police living at 1612 Pembroke
1930: Constable BC Police
One last thing. I noticed on your Family Tree that you have William and Winifred's children as born in Vancouver. They were both born, and the one died, in Victoria. It's a bit confusing: Vancouver is a city on the mainland of British Columbia and Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, is on Vancouver Island. A lot of people erroneously assume Vancouver and Vancouver Island are one and the same.
Cheers,
Soosi
