The family became quite large and many of them married other settlers when they arrived in San Gabriel, Los Angeles and then Santa Barbara. Dorotea who, as you know married a Romero, had about 17 children. Many of her children married cousins. Some married Chumash Indians, a few married Spainards. Dorotea lived between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. Her father Maximo had a second wife and continued having many children in Los Angeles where he is suppose to be buried.
