Dear Karen,
Thank you for the two e-mails. Both came thru perfectly.
Sorry I am a bit late in answering but due to work pressure.

First about the Johann Isaak and Luise Mueller children:

Karl Isaak, b. 11 Sept 1825 married 22May 1847 Luise or Katarina Schmid

Johann Isaak, b. 25.June1828 married 7 Oct 1848 Dorothea Hehr
Justina Isaak, b. 30 Dec 1835 married 23 Nov 1856 Christian Hensel
Christian Isaak, 3 Sep 1830, married 1 Nov 1851 Justine Fischer
August Isaak, 12 Feb 1833, married 13 Oct 1855 Christine Ziegler
Andreas Isaak, b. 1830, married 1850 Wilhelmine Bich

Daniel 21. Jun 1841 - 10 Oct 1852
Wilhelmine 30 Aug 1839 - 21 Apr 1840

Karoline Isaak, b. 11 Mar 1846, married Michael Brost

about Rosina: I have: born 1824, died 2.2.1838
you have: born 5 Feb 1838, died 5 Feb 1838,
it looks like that this is the same person

Have you got any information about the children and grandchildren of the above mentioned persons, apart from August Isaak and Christina Ziegler?

Now the August Isaak and Christine Ziegler children. Thank you very much for all that information. I had no information of this branch of the Isaaks in America. But there are so many of the Isaaks who went from Bessarabia to the US especially to the Dakotas

Have you any info of the children of:
John & Elis. Mueller
Christian & Magdal. Hildebrand
August & Kathar. Breitling:
Son: Richard & Kathar. Buchfink
Wilhelm & Maria Hildebrand
Son: Paul (your father?)

and I still have a Friedrich Isaak, born 31 Oct 1859!

I think the place in Russia is called Michaelsfeld and not -teld, as it means Michael's field in German.Do you speak any German or does/did anybody in your family.

From what line of the Isaaks is Donald Sommer and what is he specialized in. And who is Richard Isaak in this complicated Isaak puzzle.

My intention is to find all bearers of the name of Isaak who can trace their family back to the six or seven settlers by the name of Isaak, who came from Prussia via Poland to Bessarabia especially to the village of Kulm. I went to the Mormons and copied the "family book" of Kulm from 1845, so if there are other ancestors from Kulm in your family tree, let me know what I can do for you.
So feel free to e-mail me to etty48@plus.cablesurf.de. I would also like to get in contact with other Isaak genealogist who do research on this big Isaak-family

P.S. My wife's ggggfather was Karl Isaak. born 1803 in Pabianice Poland (I am not sure if he was really born in Pabianice or maybe somewhere else in Prussia or in Poland, as the families moved from place to place in Poland, before they came to Bessarabia/Moldavia/Ukraine) He was married to Anna Luise Elisabeth Strimske, born 10 Apr 1799 Poland, d. 12 Jun 1882. The couple had many children (of course!)= seven sons who all formed own Isaak families.Karl is supposedly Johann's brother, born 1798/99 Pabianice Pol. It is not yet clear who their father was, either Andreas Isaak or Johann Michael and we still dont know where in Germany the Isaaks originate from, as far as I know, they must have come from the North of Germany, as their accent they spoke till the days of emigration was different to the main dialect=accent of most Bessarabians, as most of them came from the South German area of Wuerttemberg. (There is a Bessarabian museum in the city of Stuttgart, capital of Wuerttemberg.
Thats all for today
Happy Easter
Helmut
