I'm searching for the parents and vital statistics of Pheobe Salls B: 1774 and married august 3, 1801 to Ebenezer Kelton. I recieved information that there was a family of Salls, an uncommon name in Columbia County, NY. I would appreciate any info you may be able to provide.

In my research i have come across a family of Salls who left Long Island came up the Hudson and landed in Canada as they were branded tratios by the Rebels of 1776

Issac Salls came with a grown son Jacob in 1781 and later two more of his boys came up in 1784... perhaps he had daughters also .. I know the Jacob had a daughter with him she could have been born in 1774 and returned later after the war ...... There are not many Salls in the Clarenceville area any longer , many returned to the Usa after things settled down ... Any how is you look towards the Long Island area of NY you might findwhat you need

I would very much like to share info with you -- I have no record of Pheobe SALLS and would like to place her within my descendants of Isaac SALLS, c1730-c1800.

Can you give me any info on her and her husband Ebenezer KELTON??????

I am also looking for information on Pheobe Salls. The information I have on Ebenezer Kelton is: he was born June 17, 1774 in Warwick, MA. died Nov. 30, 1813, don't know where. He and Pheobe were married august 3, 1801 in REhoboth, Bristol, MA. Had my ancestor Arden Kelton born in 1804. Ebenezer is the son of James Kelton born Feb. 1749/50 in Warwick or Rehoboth, MA, died January 26, 1831 in Warwick, MA and Lois Ingalls

I don't have alot of information about Ebenezer, but here is what I have:
From Kelton Family items-
12. EBENEZER6 Kelton. Private. Enlisted for five years, March 16, 1813. Capt. Henry
Leavenworth, and Capt. John B. Murdock, 25th Regiment of U. S. Infantry.

He was living in Montreal, Canada, at the breaking out of the War of 1812.

He died in the service Nov. 30, 1813, from wounds received in battle at Chrystler's Fields, Upper
Canada, Nov. 11, 1813.

He was a son of James5 (Enoch,4 John,3 Thomas,2 Thomas1).

I have a son Arden born in New York in 1804.

I have Ebenezer born in Warwick MA June 17, 1774. His grandfather Enoch was from Rehoboth MA.

I know nothing of Pheobe's ancestry. If you find her, please let me know.
Mark

I am so excited about your finding this, Pam. I had a suspicion that they lived in Canada at some point, though I have not been able to find out much about their lives. Will try to write more this week-end. Am working very long hours this week.

Please do get back -- but I understand. I knew they had to be living in Quebec for a while, as his wife was from there and they wouldn't have met otherwise.

Would love to hear from you again.
