Wow...this is some great info. My grandmother was Bertha Hougentogler, her father was frank Hougentogler, and his father was Joseph Hougentogler. I am doing some research, and I know they were from Switzerland, but not much else. The picture I have of my grandmother and her siblings show them dressed as "plain people" also my great grandfathers obituary reads that he was a member if the Mennonite church, but it also reads he was a member of the Elks, or Moose....that just doesn't add up. :) please share any other info you may have. They all lives in the West Hempfield (Columbia) PA area..
