Married at Des Moines
Clark Elwell of LaPorte City went
to Des Moines, where he was married
on Wednesday, the 14th inst., to Miss
Elizabeth Rampton at the home of
the bride's parents in that city. The
bride formerly lived in this vicinity.
and will be remembered by many as the
accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Rampton, whose parents came here
in 1854, and resided here until about
ten years ago, when they left the farm
and took up their residence
in Des Moines. The wedding was very
simple, the bride wearing a becoming
traveling suit. Mr. and Mrs. Elwell
left on the C. G. W. for Waterloo,
from there going in an auto to the
home the groom had prepared on the
Martin Vanduser farm, where they
will be at home after Thursday.
