I have a picture of a couple from Moosomin Sask. They are most likely Stilborn. If you know who they are, let me know. Thanks, C.

dear Lucy, we are related to the Gospel family through Barkers of Bishop Wilton Yorkshire. Our ancestors settled in Pheasant Folks NWT/SK with the Primitive Methodist Colonization company in 1883.

we would be interested in corresponding with you. liz
to others: The photos of Mary Gospel and HQ Stilborn are great.

Surnames: Stilborn, Beavis, Gospel
I am descended from Mary Gospel's great grandparents, William Robson and Elizabeth Cockcroft, so a slightly distant cousin to the Stilborns of Pheasant Forks. While trying to update this line today I came across obituaries for Ray and Lillian (nee Beavis) Stilborn, who have both passed away recently. My condolences to any family members out there. I have added the obituaries as stories to my Ancestry tree, (Cross/Sanders and Flamborough tree updated), or a search on the names will bring them up for you.

A good number of family members are mentioned in the obituaries, but not easy to work out who is linked to who.

Kind regards

Martin

Thanks. I think the mystery is solved. I believe the people pictured in my earlier post to be of Henry Guy Stilborn (1877-1949) and his wife Mary Selina Horsley (1878-1957).

You are obviously from the Robson side. I knew Elizabeth Robson's father was William but didn't have a name for her mother. Do you have/are you interested in the Gospel family tree?

Lucy - I'm always interested in adding to my knowlege of the descenants of the Robson/Gospel line. I also have a particular interest in the Gospel's as my wife's family is connected to the Gospel's from Millington - very close to Bolton, where William Gospel, who married Elizabeth Robson, was born. I'm sure there must be a connection somewhere - but I can't find it yet.

My wife's connection is through Hannah Gospel, b. c1859, who married John Thomas Nangle, the son of my wife's 2x great grandparents.

Any thoughts very welcome.

Regards

Martin

Dear Debbie
i recognized your name just from family conversations. I am new at this ancestry thing but i am related to you I am Wayne Penner's daugter. so it goes robert and Jane anne fenwick's children john william (uncle jack), george (ben), henrietta (fenwick) Stilborn, angus raymond, and reginald. I am the great granddaughter of angus. and i belive you are the granddaughter of henrietta. is this correct? I would be very interested in the book your father jack has written if that is possible, I have been to pheasant forks many times and have some idea of who belongs to whom but it gets confussing with all the stilborns. My grandma Hettie doesn't always remember everyone anymore either.
