I'm looking for a Heinrich R. Koch aka Henry R. Cook, from
Germany, b.1840/44. He lived in covington KY around 1865,
when his son Charles William Cook was born, wife unknown.
In 1880 he was living in Cincinnati with his new wife,
Charley, and 3 more kids, Harry, Dollie and Emma.
Charley Cook, who married Estelle GOOD around 1886, is
my gr grandfather. Names seen with this family are:
CARLEN/CARLIN, GOOD & WITTEKIND. Are any of these familiar
to you?
Charley & Estelle had:
Ada 1888 married a Chadderton
Hattie 1889/90 married a Joe St.Clair
Charles Carlin 1892 twin, married Abbie Smith Defoe
Chester Joseph 1892 twin, married Hazel WRIGHT
James 1894/95, married Aileen Narin.
Estelle 1897, married Otho SENNETT
Sometimes they lived in Cincinnati and sometimes in
Covington.
I believe most are buried at RestHaven Cem.
in Evendale.

Aunt Hattie (Mildred Harriet) is said to have had a
research done, and traced the KOCHS back to Capt Koch, in the army of William the Conqueror.
Then there's the story about how Charley was stolen by
gypsies and taken in by the Carlin Family, who returned him
to his father. Seeing he was supposed to be 2 at the time, I I find this hard to believe. How could he know his name,
birth date, where and when he was born? Even thought he
was living with Henry Cook in 1880, his death cert says
PARENTS UNKNOWN!. Can you believe that.
