I suspect we may have a connection. Franklin Long of Indepenence County also shows in my family history as brother to Caroline Long (McDaniels), Henry Long, William Long, and (Bailey) Peyton Long. Some of them came from Meigs County TN with what maybe mother or grandmother Mary Long. Bailey Peyton Long is my GG grandfather. In my line of Long's the names George and Franklin re-appear from one generation to the next. I've been trying to establish the father of Bailey for years. I wonder if Britton may be my missing link?
