The Kirk Cemetery is actually in San Joaquin County not Calaveras and is located somewhere in a field that is privately owned. I have the list of grave sites there and am trying to find out whose property it is on so I can take some photos. Thomas J. Kirk of Giles, VA died 3/16/1851 age 30 years 5 months is one of the graves. The original Kirk Land Patent was for 160 acres at T3N R9E Sec 26 SE filed on 7/1/1861.
