I am hoping you could help me connect the dots!! My Mac/Mcdonalds settled in the Teeswater area in or around 1856 (when they were on the last boat off of Skye during the last cleansing) My gg grandfather was Daniel W and some of his siblings I have from his obit, Alexander,Angus and James. Daniel was a merchant who took frequent trips to Scotland. I do know someone in the family owned a ship, maybe one of his brothers? His parents listed at his wedding in York ON in 1888 are Jas M and Alexdrinia. Alexdrinia does not appear on the 1881 census so she may have already passed by 1888.I have Jas M. as being born in Scotland and Alexdrinia born in Ireland. Thier is approx. a nine year gap between my gg grandfather and his siblings which makes me wonder if this would"ve been a second wife? Any info would be great! Thanks, Mary Ann
