I am looking for a birth record of Eva Grace Spinney, born in June 1881 in Illinois. I do not know the county or her parents names. What is your source for her being born in June, 1881?

1900 Census for Benton township/Eaton County/City of Potterville, Michigan. The 1900 census list month and year of birth. I've also found her on 1910/1920 & 1930 census (all diff locations) Her birth place is Illinois on all of them and the age matches up.

What is the nativity of her parents?

That is the reason I am trying to locate a birth record. I have no idea.

Excuse me, I mis-read the question. According to the census records, her father was from Missouri and her mother was from Pennsylvania

Carmen, There were Spinny/Spinney in 1880 Clark, Iroquois, & Knox counties but none appear to have Mo. nativity.

Thank you so much for your help. I have also found this information. I have searched USGENWEB for Clark Co. They have alot of information. I found Spinney to be spelled Spenney and Spenny as well. I've just learned that ancestry.com has added Michigan State Census records for 1894 last week. I am going to search those today and maybe find a clue. (Note: Eva Grace Spinney, married Herman L. Davis at age 15). Thanks again!

Just an update since I posted the original message. I have found that Eva's correct last name was SPENNY and her parents were Adam A. SPENNY, and Mary Margaret WILL. I know they lived were married in Fulton County in 1869 and I found them again in the 1880 Census in Fulton County

Prior to 1916, the state of Illinois did not require birth registration. Sometimes the county kept records or if you know what religion they were you might try contacting the churches. Good Luck
