Good luck Rod finding a y-DNA match. Keep me posted if anything turns up. My Dewar lineage is maternal so I'm afraid my chromosomes wouldn't be of much help. And as far as I can determine my last direct male Dewar cousin died in 2006.
I'm going to Glenelg in the Fall. I don't intend to do any real genealogical research when in Scotland but will finally get to see the landscape inhabited by our ancestors before they departed for Canada in 1793.
