Re: need information ROSS, Donald Patrick Registrations
Hello notes by Frances Haines Under the heading Meldrum Creek Charlie Ross came in from Novia Scotia around 1890. He had several places. He was the ferryman at Soda Creek for a long time. Mrs. Eric Collier is a daughter. Murdock Ross. Charlie's brother, came to Ross's gulch in 1893. HE was a ferryman at Chimney Creek from 1897 until the opening of the present bridge in 1903. The ferry in those days was a boat. All livestock had to swim. Two sons are still living there. He was Meldrum Creeks first postmaster. try searching the 1911 census for the Ross name under the Cariboo. Meldrum Creek was in the Williams Lake/Quesnel area. Kathy

Re: need information ROSS, Donald Patrick 1911 Census
Hi there, I don't think I can help you with any info on Donald, but may be able to point you in the right direction... I am of relation to Alberta Pearl Morgan. She was my great grandmother Melva June Kinvig's (nee Morgan) sister. Melva and Pearl's parents were Daniel Jefferson Morgan and Pearl Morgan nee Winters. Your dad was likely named after your mom's brother Rex Morgan (he lived in Quesnel, British Columbia). Their brother Norman's wife Rose Morgan is still living in Quesnel and may be a good source of information. I'm pretty sure Alberta Pearl attended school in the Quesnel area. Hope this helps! I'll ask my grandmother if she knows of anything about Donald... Where are you living? I may be able to suggest some more resources to help your search depending on the area you're in (library resources and whatnot). I'm currently in Kamloops, but I'm from Williams Lake. I have a lot more information on Daniel and Pearl Morgan (including areas they lived, important dates, kids names, and whatnot), so if I could be of further assistance to you please let me know. Right now I'm mostly exploring the Winters side of the family. Also, if you have any more information on the Morgan side I'd love to compare notes! Best, Kerri (your 7th cousin?)

Re: need information ROSS, Donald Patrick Registrations
Hi: My gggrandfather Hugh Ross (1855-1929) was Donald Patrick Rosses fathers (Murdock Donald Ross 1860-1910) older brother. Hope that makes sense. I've gone back to Murdoch Kenneth Ross from Scotland (1786-1869). I would love to share info with you. Elaine

I don't have anything except she was born 1915 in Alberta. I have an old pic of her from 1937. She was known as "Toots" I know she had a brother Buster (Bud) as he also married into the family. I believe she may have also had sister (Cissy) I just came back from visiting my uncle and he last saw her 20 years ago or so in Cache Creek. She was living in a trailer there. He believes she was about 81 when she passed away. That is pretty much all I know. She has been hard to track. If any of that sounds familiar I would love to get as much info on her that I can as well as any pictures I have attached the picture I have of her
Thanks for any help

Re: need information ROSS, Donald Patrick 1911 Census
Hi Rick,
Alberta Morgan was my grandmother. My parents would be able to fill you in on a fair amount of information about her. When she passed she was with Owen Campbell in Cache Creek.
