Thank you, but I have the 1880 census Cooke Co, TX information.
Living next door to Lucinda Miller is Josiah C. Stockton and wife Martha, in their household is her brother William W. Walker. Relationship for William is not given, but he fits her brother William Washington Walker.
The above are on pg 390 C, on page 390 D is Winfield Lemons and wife Rutha A, (her name shows up various ways, Ruthyann, Ruthy Ann and just Ruthy, too).
On page 389 is Jonathan H. Walker and his family. That would be Jonathan Hemphill Walker. Hemphill is a family name.
It's the 1900 census that has me stumped for Lucinda. I found a probate for Cooke Co, TX for an Elisha Miller with Lucinda Miller as the administrator in 1897. I'm going to see if I can find any more in SLC on my next trip on this file.
As for Lucinda's parents, other researchers, who have spent more time on this then I have, think they are Martin Mahaffey and Winnie Upton, but no one has found the proof -- just some good clues.
As for the J.S. Stockton you mention in your other response, no I don't believe he is the same one married to Martha. Age off about 4 years, we've seen that before, but Josiah is born in MO, not TX.
As for the "Joe", the confusion may come from son named "Jonathon" Hemphill Walker plus a son named "John" McConnell Walker, maybe one went by a nickname, I've never heard of that.
