Thanks for replying to my message.

I've checked the record of marriage: Vestee Handcock and William Hatharway married 20 Oct 1783 - both of Fawler.

Wit: Mary Hancock and Robert Toms.

Note the different spellings. I wonder why Mary is Hancock and Vestee is Handcock?

It looks as if William Hancock, bapt 1738, is the father
of Vestee (Vestye)- his age is right - but then we're looking for a different Mary and they weren't married in Charlbury.

My problem is that if I ask OHS to do a look-up for their marriage where do I ask them to look? I know it's not Charlbury. I'm confused.
