Classification: Query
Surnames: Losee; Sharp
The first message in this string, about ten years ago, asks about Henry Sharp and Amy Losee. Later replies list Amy and Abigail as sisters, and both as daughters of Simon Losee. A half dozen family trees an Ancestry, com refer to Abigail Amy Losee, implying that Abigail and Amy are the same person. Can anyone here document whether Abigail and Amy are two distinct people, or are they one and the same?

I am a descendant of Henry Sharp, and his Last Will, dated 8 March, 1826 - which I have a copy of - refers to his wife as " my beloved wife Amay Sharpe."

There is also a petition for land, dated 25 July, 1786, in the names of "Simon Losey and Henry Sharp" requesting Lots 2 and 3 respectively in the Spry Grant. In a multiple grant, dated 15 Feb, 1787, Henry Sharp was granted Lot 3 as requested, but Simon Losee did not receive Lot 2; it was granted to Richard Clark.

If anyone can sort out Amy and Abigail I would appreciate it. Thanks
