My Michael was born in Ireland and emigrated at age three with his parents. He was not born in Canada, so I don't think he fits in with your bunch. At some point, many of these Irish immigrants moved on to Chicago, and I need to find out if just my Michael did that or if his remaining (and remarried) parent did so as well. If it was his mother who remarried, good luck unless I can find a marriage record for her.

I am intrigued by the name "Maurice".....it is French, not Irish, and was my father's name. (The Dalton side is my mother's side, however.) Also one of the children was named "Morgan" in your list and that is my son's name. (Again, we have a Morgan branch of the family on my Dad's side.) Just a weird coincidence.

We shall all keep digging...and sooner or later.......
