Hello...Heber Stoddard married 03-15-1874 Porter Co., IN to Synthera Comer. The children I have for Heber and Synthera (Comer) Stoddard are: William Lewis Stoddard, Katherine A. "Katie" Stoddard, Olive "Ollie" Stoddard, Henrietta M. Stoddard, Samuel S. Stoddard and F.B. Stoddard. Heber was born in Morgan Township, Porter Co., Indiana, January 09, 1849. In 1864 he enlisted in Co. C, 138th IN, for one hundred day's service. After his marriage they moved to the north end of Morgan Township where he owned a farm. In 1890 he was elected to the office of Trustee of the Township. He resigned this position after being elected Sheriff in December 1892. He was a Republican and he and his wife were members of the Christian Church. I will do some more searching through my notes and see if I have a death date for Heber. Jeanie
