You may already have this, but it would appear your James arrived Quebec City from Liverpool on 3 Sep 1912 aboard the Lake Champlain. It would appear he was accompanied by a James Whittle (widower) aged 60. Destination is listed as North Bay via the CPR for both. I would assume from their ages that the elder James was his grandfather. There is some suggestion that the grandfather intended to remain here as he lists his intended Cdn occupation as Farm Labourer.
I also noticed that Arthur Haddow is listed in the 1911 Census for Ontario but no mention of Minnie.
