In case it's helpful to your research, a Nikolaus P. Eberhardy (62 yr) died in Milwaukee in 1918 and his wife Margaret (LaVies) Eberhardy published his notices in the local German newspapers. The paper also honored him with some sort of obit. (brief or detailed - their discretion).
These are among the about 30 Eberhardy entries or references found in the local resource "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950).
