How does one do that in New York City? I haven't researched there before. I don't know the date of death; I have been told he died April, 1945. I don't know if that's accurate or not, but I don't have a day. In PA we can send for a death certificate with only the year. What's the process there? Did SI keep its own records, or are they part of the city records (or state?)
