Wish I had found this message years ago when it was posted. My husband is a Dozier descendent of the Marianna Dozier/Tidwell family.

His Grandmother was Polly Bea Dozier, Daughter of Thomas F Dozier and Nancy Green Hart. My research has Thomas as the son of Edward M Dozier (B. 1882 in SC) and Elizabeth Blackburn (B. 1827 in SC) with residence listed in 1860 as Jackson County FL. Children of Edward and Elizabeth, I have as Harriett E, Sarah A,and Emalie M. Also listed as children under Elizabeth are Thomas F Dozier, Martha Dozier and Elias Dozier.

Parents of Edward M Dozier were Pryor Dozier (b. May 1786, D. Chattahoochee GA?) and Bethland (surname unknown), b. 1827 in SC also residing in Jackson County in 1860.

Polly Bea Dozier married Charles A Tidwell of Jackson County in 1900.
