My Grandfather was a Caliendo. His name was Peter Caliendo and he and his parents came over here around 1902 I think. He had many brothers and sisters of which only a few are still alive. Some of their names are Frank,Pat, Carmella,Anthony, Matilda, Nancy, Teresa, Louie,Joseph. There is more but I cant remember. They were raised in Melrose Park, Il which is near Chicago. Does anyone know them.

My father is Frank James (Genaro?) Caliendo. His father was Peter Albert Caliendo, from Melrose Park, Il! Peter was then my natural grandfather. Peter was married to Antoinette Romano I think in Melrose Park. Grandpa had two kids; my dad Frank James and his younger sister Teresa. My grandpa Pete Caliendo was married to Virginia and they had three kids. Thier names are Gail, Patricia, and Richard. My grandpa died in 1978. My great grandparents also lived in Melrose Park in the early and mid 1900's. My great grandma's name was Pasqualini Caliendo and I dont remember my great grandpa's name.

Jessica: Your grandfather Pete Caliendo was not my grandfather, who was also Peter Albert Caliendo (or equivalent Italian spellings). My grandfather's history is somewhat elusive, as he died in approx 1942?? from epilepsy. My dad Frank was about 9 years old at the time. My grandfather Peter was married to Antoinette Romano, and they had 2 kids: my dad Frank and my aunt Theresa. Later Grandma remarried to Joseph Raggio, and they had another daughter, Antoinette, my aunt. Grandma came from Napoli with her father John Romano (her mom died in childbirth with her youngest brother John), and many brothers and sisters, sometime around WWI, but I'm not sure where Grandpa Pete came from. I thought my dad said that Grandpa might have been from a Caliendo clan originally from Spain, but details are fuzzy. Anyway, you're right: there were lots of Caliendo's in Melrose Park, Il. , including my Grandpa Pete. Wish I knew more about him - I look just like him!! Thx for the reply.

Jessica, your great grandfater's first name was Gabriel, actually Gabriele in italian. Your great grandfather was my grandfather, and your father and I are cousins. Your dad is Richard of Dick and mother Theresa. I guess that makes us second cousins. Ask your Dad about me. My name is Jim Recchia
