Private family services will be held for Robert Charles Church of McMinnville. Interment also will be private.
Mr. Church died in Parkland Village in McMinnville on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005. He was 91.
Born in San Francisco on Oct. 6, 1914, he was the son of Charles Carpenter and Hazel Augusta (Johnson) Church. He attended Lowell High School, then the University of California at Berkeley. He married Signe Marie Uhrenholt Britt in 1952 in San Francisco.
Most of Mr. Church's professional career was spent in the malpractice sector of the insurance industry. His professional memberships included the Pacific Claims Executives Association, where he held the presidency at one time. He was also a past master of Brotherhood Lodge No. 370, AF&AM, a Masonic organization based in San Francisco.
Following his retirement, he moved to McMinnville in 1983. He served on the city planning commission and got involved in Gallery Players.
The latter led him into a second career in the radio and television industry. He joined the Screen Actors Guild and handled numerous appearances, voice-overs and cameo movie parts.
Survivors include a son, James Church of Portland; a daughter, Carolyn Nalow of St. John's, Ariz.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Church was preceded in death by his wife in 1999 and by a son, Robert.
