I have been researching my husband's Perkins family for some time. His gggggrandfather was Josiah Perkins. The earliest records I have are from the late 1700's and early 1800's in Windsor, Broome NY. Josiah Perkins and his wife, Clarissa Payne had several children and through some old deeds I have finally identified several. I found some old court records from Broome dated 1810 where Josiah is mentioned along with Samuel, Alfred, and Shubal Perkins. I have long wondered if Shubal and Josiah could have been brothers. In another search of the boards I spotted your exchange with Helen Osborne and thought I would contact you to see if you have documented more on Shubal. It appeared that you thought his father was Samuel. I will gladly send you a scan of the 1810 document. I would be interested in seeing what you think.
