As for Catherine her documentation is all with her great great granddaughter . Who was one thar went to the courthouse and tracked it all down. She was the one who had all the documentation I started with. And what little I got from my dad. The picture of William M For Holt with his son in laws father. Another cousin has the original with both sets of parents.

The boys have their father father wrong in some census. But did they fill it out or wives? In the censuses I have for Wade at least 3 it's LA.

Mary Louise is not listed in any census except with her mother and Slane and her brothers William & Wade are on it also. That I have seen if you have one please share.

Wade Sr vanished around the time of the civil war. Catherine must have known to be ble to remarry that he was dead. All those claiming Wade Sr as Dryers husband didn't until I found his death and burial. I contacted the VA because he was listed as moved to a cemetery but then had no record of him there. The VA removed his listing in the VA cemetery after my contact.

I have found so far 2 sets of Wade Sr & Jr's digging.

I do not understand why people jump and attach people to their families. I have found our Wade JR married off to different people and his photos attached to different people. The same with William MF. There are records for a William M F Holt that mine signed the permission to marry on. It had to be Wade JR'S son.

I know that Boy is who he is because he is the son of Nevada, and I do have her tracked till her death. They have pictures of her and the his sisters.

I don't understand why he is so hard to find. His parentage is a total mystery, everybody that people claim doesn't match.

How can 2 different Wade Hampton Holts vanish at the same time?

All I can compare it to is our small town cemetery. A civil war solider committed suicide everybody in town say Joe Smith. Two obits is the same paper. The small town listed him as Joe Smith. The next town up listed him as John Joe Smith. I still can't convince them of his legal name even though I researched and found his military records as John Joe Smith. Can 2 people in a town of 400 commit suicide on the same day and be buried in the same cemetery? People went often by middle names.
