SueZ60, I found you on the King and Downes pages. I also have Downes from Maryland and Taylors in my maternal lineage as well. I have a Mary Anne Downes married to a Joseph Layton/Leaton/Leighton. Migrated from Kentucky to Perry County, Missouri. I believe her father was Joseph Downes and mother Anne Sanner from Saint Mary's County, Marylnd, they married about 1750. I am researching more information on Mary Anne Downes and her siblings. Looking in Kentucky counties of Nelson, Washington, Marion and Madison for a marriage certificate or church record on Mary Anne Downes and Joseph Layton/Leaton/Leighton. They were married before 1800.
