Hi! I live in Edinburgh, Scotland, and my great great grandfather was Abner Lee Gilstrap who lived in Macon Missouri around the 1860's. He was a lawyer and inventor. His mother's family were the Lee's who are on the Declaration of Independence. I was recently visiting the home of the Maclean's at Eileen Donan castle in Scotland when I noticed a huge portrait of Margaret Gilstrap. She was an heiress from Lincolnshire who married a Maclean of Macleans in the 1890's and saved the family bacon! I would love to hear from anyone who has further info on Abner Lee's family - apparently there were 4 brothers (one called Idolet!) who came from England originally in or around 1776.
Cheers!
