I have seen information posted about the possibility that Elizabeth Grammer is the sister of Nancy, and her probable brother, Elam Grizzle. I am in touch with a few different people from these lines, but no one has absolute concrete data. The Ray family is also closely entwined with these families. I have copies or access to most all information that has surfaced about the Grizzle and Countess/Countiss families in AL and in TN, which includes a family history written a few decades ago on the Countess family entitled "They Passed This Way." Nancy Grizzle, wife of John Countess, is my direct ancestor. They were married in Tuscaloosa, but apparently met in TN.
