The John Barker we're talking about would have been born around 1780 - the one thought to be born in NJ that is. This same John Barker had a son John Barker (would have been born PA/MD) who had a son John Barker(would have been born OH) ... By the 1820's this clan of Barkers was in Monroe County, OH and either staying there or moving on to Southern IN and various points.

It's the first John Barker that we don't know a whole lot about.
