The Cotton Mather to whom I was referring to was born feb 12 1663 died feb 13 1728 in Boston. Cotton Mather was a true believer in witchcraft and he is the one that present finding and conclusions to cause the deaths of many.
Later in life he of course he revised his position on the whole matter.
