Re: Rodolfo Fierro, parents and siblings of
Hi Baz! It's been a long time. I recently just go back into the research of the family. I learned (or rather confirmed a few new things) and I'm hoping that someone might be able to add to what I've got. For any others reading, the family below is related to Rodolfo Fierro
Ignacio Jose Fierro (my dad's father) is the brother of Narcissa Fierro/Castanos. They had two other brothers supposedly (Names are possible Iraquio and another).
The exciting thing is, after I decided to register for the membership here, I found a death certificate for BOTH Ignacio AND Narcissa.
Ignacio was, according to the certificate, born 20 Sept 1903 in Durango, Mexico and died 27 May 1982 in Los Angeles county. Also, I found two other very neat things! I found the ACTUAL copy of a WWI Draft Registraion Card (1917 -1918) for Ignacio with his signature and everything. Also on the death certificate, I got a lead to his mother whose maiden name is Silerio.
Narcissa's death certificate is there as well, but the first name is spelled a bit different. Narsicia F Castanos/Fierro born 1 Jan 1890 Mexico, died 17 July 1954 in (Yolo, Ca). Maiden name listed for HER mother is also Silerio. So would this be Petra Silerio?????? And is Petra her actual name?
I would love to find the next link, if or anyone else out there has more info.
Also, I am trying to find more information about my grandmother's side, Cora D. Fierro (Ignacio's wife)
She was born 23 March 1923 and passed away 21 October 2006 She has several sisters (Dolores, Sylvia, Evelyn, poss Carmen and 1 brother Henry?) her father's name I believe was Jose Ayala and her mother's name was Marie Carmen, but I dont know the maiden name. If anyone has any information please let me know

Re: Rodolfo Fierro, parents and siblings of
I keep coming across the name "Manuel Fierro" in these postings. Juanita discussed him, Rocky Chave discussed him, and another person discussed him as a grandfather or father.
There also may be a connection of the Fresno, California area. Are we going around in circles, or what?
Are different people talking about the same Manuel Fierro? Please check the postings and see if Juanita and Rocky may be related?
That would be great, if there is a connection.

Re: Rodolfo Fierro, parents and siblings of
Did you hear of any stories of my grandfather Alfonso Larios? I am told he was second in command of the Mexican army during the time of Poncho Villa but I don't know where to begin looking to find him. He was from the Larios of Malaga, Spain.

Re: Rodolfo Fierro, parents and siblings of
Yes! I'm definately interesting to see if this Manuel Fierro everyone mentions is who I think he may be. My tio's name is Manuel Fierro, and he lives in Juarez, Mex (across the boarder from EL Paso) with his daughter. He originates from Rosales. I met his for the first time last week (his mother, my grandmother passed away) in Rosales. His full name would be Manuel Fierro Ruelas.

Re: Rodolfo Fierro, parents and siblings of
I am helping my husband find out more information about his family. My husband's alst name is Fierro and his father's name was Manuel Fierro. His family lived in New Mexico, Colorado and I understand some relatives migrated to California. It was also our understanding that my husband's decedent's and family migrated from Mexico into the US. His great grandmother was an Apache woman that was married to his great grand father by the last name of Fierro. The family has indicated that this man was General Rodolfo FIERRO who was in Villa's army. I am am assisting in the undertaking of finding as much information or if we are lucky living decedents. I would appreciate any help that we can get. My email address is quisa@att.net. Thank you, Jean fierro

I do not know what his name is but it is possible that it may be your tio. Mi Padre y yo evamos al El Paso todos los anos. Si tu tio nacio en el ano de 1958 ho 1959 and if his mother's name is Elvira, I need to talk to him. I go to El Paso every two years and if it is him I will be there in May of this year. Por favor contestame lo mas pronto que puedas. Yo soy pariente de Rodolfo Fierro.

Re: Rodolfo Fierro, parents and siblings of
Antonio,
I'm afraid my uncle's mother's name was Juana "Maria" Ruelas Fierro. She passed away this past January. Her funeral was the first time I met my tio. I am not sure when he was born, but it definately was not 1958 because that was when my father was born and my tio is atleast ten years older than him.
I am very sorry I could not be of more help.

Re: Rodolfo Fierro, parents and siblings of
Hi Jean, I'm also searching for more information for my daughter. My father-in-law was Trinidad Fierro and according to what he told us, his family came from Texas and he was the 5th generation. Many times he spoke about Rodolfo Fierro and he said his family comes from his family, but we haven't been able to verify it. If you are able to find out more about Rodolfo and his brother, can you please let us know.
