Hi Susan,
Do you know what Frances' maiden name is (she would be my maternal grandmother's (Mary Frances Matchem (Strickland) father's mother ie my great great grandmother. The Thomas Strickland born 1805 in Cornwall in my tree is Frances' grandfather and not her husband's William Thomas?? Perhaps this spells it out a little more clearly.

My grandparents: Mary Frances (Strickland) & Abraham Thomas Matchem
My g-grandparents: Elizabeth (Lilly) & Jeremiah Strickland
My g-g-grandparents: Frances (Strickland?) & William Thomas Strickland
My g-g-g-grandparents: Thomas Strickland (b. Channel PAB) & Mary (Fudge) (b. 1836 d. 1893)---I think you are missing this generation??
My g-g-g-g-grandparents: Thomas Strickland (b. May 7, 1805-Cornwall) & Elizabeth Baker (b. March 8, 1813

I also have all (I think) of the children's names and many birthdates if you would like to swap info.

Please feel free to email me directly at darlah@sympatico.ca.
Looking forward to your reply and hearing more aboiut what you know.
Thanks,
Darlah

Susan:
I am trying to tie some loose ends on the Stricklands and the Anderson's. Goodness knows there are many ends to tie. At the moment I am working on Port Aux Basques/Channel Group. I line of Strickland's Starts with a Philip Strickland in the vicinity of Lakes Brooke. P.A,B. I understand by other inquiries that he was b. around 1830.
He had a son Emmanuel b. in 1859. He appoarently married Annie Figarie in Channel. The United Church there as no record of him. Have you any records of Philip and the Stricklands of West Point. I have a Josiah Strickland and Mary Ann wadman I have that I think in proper perspective. Then the is Two John and Sarah's. One Couple had a Family and the other died before they got around to it. Any help would be appreciated. Manasseh. Nassieanderson@yahoo.com

Hello, I am just reading this posting for the first time and can only tell you that William Thomas Strickland b. 1861 married to Frances ? b. 1862 d. 1954 was not a child of Henry Strickland Jr and Amelia Mathews of Burgeo. I am looking for children of Henry and Amelia. So far I have my G-Grandfather James Edward Strickland (married Eva Anderson), Melinda Strickland, Sophie Strickland and Mary A Strickland who married a Thomas Ford. I would appreciate any information.
