Paul, have you found any new info on Doirons in LA? I have a lot out about my line. My great grandfather was Jean Baptiste Danos Doiron, married to Corrine Marie Hebert. His father was Theodore Danos Doiron married to Olivia Labouve. Theodore had 6 kids: O'Neil (m Odette Rabalais), Angelia, Caliste (m W.A. Owens), Jean Baptiste Danos (m Corrine Hebert), Theodore Wallace (m Mabel Landry) and Ann Stella. Jean Baptiste Danos had 10 kids: Benjamin (died as an infant), Francis Roy, Drusilla Anne, Una Germaine, Edwina, Neva Elizabeth (m Allen Normand), Richard Benjamin (m Edith), Theodore Danos (m Mary Kotch), Earl Joseph (m Dessie West) and John Danos. I regret that I have info on Theodore other than his name and that of his wife. Have you run into anything?

Al,

Was your father in the navy in the 1930s? Posted in Cuba for a while? My uncle was there, and had a friend Allen Normand from Louisiana--Mansura or Alexandria.

Hi,
I am a Doiron from Brusly. All of my family was born and raised in Brusly. I have traced them back to their exile from Acadia, on the ship the Le Bon Papa. I will be glad to share any info I have that you might be iterested in.

Theodore Dorion was born Sept. 19, 1842 in West baton Rouge Parish. He married Oliva LaBauve in 1870, also in West Baton Rouge Parish (Brusly). Theodore died on Sept. 2, 1906 and is buried in Brusly at St. John the Baptist Church. Oliva died on March 1, 1933 and is buried in the same cemetery.

I have done the geneology on this family. Theodore is my 3rd great grandfather. I will be glad to mail you copies of anything I have that you would be interested in.
