Thanks for the promotion to General - not a big problem as I have been addressed as such previously. My "short" name is Gen as not too many folks can spell Genevieve.

My main research is the Sherwood line beginning with Thomas 1586-1655, b. England, d. Connecticut.

My GG grandfather Elijah W. Sherwood ended up in Schuyler County as did others from Connecticut with whom Sherwoods had intermarried for several generations.

Hope the info re the Ithaca Historical Society was of some help as they have quite a bit of genealogy materials there.
I donated "Descendants of Thomas Sherwood" to the Historical Society when I was up there in July. It runs some 382 pages - and is well sourced.
