The George Lee Higgins married Edna McAdoo you have listed in your post are my great-Aunt Edna McAdoo Higgins and her husband George. I remember Aunt Edna very well and my father has very fond memories of his Uncle George. Uncle George was a very good story teller. Edna Sarah McAdoo was the daughter of George Washington McAdoo and Arlena Lucinda Keck
George was born July 25, 1891 in Stratford, Indian Territory, Edna Sarah McAdoo was born December 6, 1892 in Logan Co., Arkansas. They were married August 17, 1919 in Willis, Marshall Co., Oklahoma. Although they had no children together, George raised Edna's son Cliffard Lee McAdoo. George died September 11, 1968 and Aunt Edna died October 30, 1980. Both are buried at Oakland Cemetery, Oakland, Marshall Co., Oklahoma.
