I see that FamilyFinder has deleted all his/her posts. It wasnt very nice to attack other's responses. I will say this, I have checked every source that is known in Cherokee County to find the information you seek. It just isnt there. I have looked at the newspapers, estate records, probate records, Alabama death index and transcribed death certificates at familysearch.org. The only source I have not looked at is the actual microfilmed death certificates at Hanceville, AL. It is near impossible for this person's death to be there if it is not showing up in the other databases/indexes, but you could get someone to look at all the death certificates for that month and year to see if the name is shown. That would save $15 and let you (or anyone else looking for a death certificate) know without a doubt if there is a death certificate for this person or any other person or not.
