Hello Darlene,
Thanks for posting your inquiry into Abigail Arbo.
Yes, I have an Abigail Arbo, born in 1871, which, I would assume would be "your" Abigail.
The family is given in the censuses of 1891 / 1901:
Harvie Arbo b. Nov. 10, 1846 Head of household
Rosella ( Etta) b. Oct. 1, 1856 Wife
David Arbo, son
Sophronia, daughter
Peter,son
Albert, son
Sadie, d.
Sylvester, s.
Gladys, d.
Harvie, s.
William, s
Ernest, s.
Judson, s.
Chester, s.
Alexander, s
Abegail, daughter , b. 1871
Harvie's family moved to Saint John, where there are many descendants to-day.
Harvie's father was Peter Arbo, m. Ann Sutherland
Peter's father was Joseph Arbo m. Amy Ireland - these were the original Arbo settlers in Upper Blackville. Numerous unsuccessful attempts have been made to find Joseph's lineage. Amy Ireland was the daughter of Loyalist Adam Ireland, who drowned in the Falls at Saint John about 1788.
I have further dates and info. if you are interested.
Regards,
Bob, in Oshawa.
