I'm researching the PETTYJOHNs and ROUSE families of Forsyth County, GA

Looking for info on William "Wiley" Rouse born about 1817 married Mary Walker 1841 in Lumpkin Co, GA. They lived in Forsyth Co,GA then moved to AL about 1860. Apperciate any info. Thanks....

I found where they were married in Lumpkin Co, GA March 25, 1841 Willey Rouse and Mary Miller.

Have you come across the name Everet Rouse? He is my g-g-grandfather, living in Lumpkin Co. in 1850. Norman and Joseph Rouse lived close by. He was born in Ga., trying to find out where. Where did Wiley move to in Al

Wiley and Mary Ann Miller Rouse moved to Jefferson County, AL. You can find them on the 1860 Census Blackburn's Precinct, Jefferson County, Alabama. There's some other Rouse's and Miller's on the same census that were from Georgia. I havenot came across the name Everet Rouse. Do you think that Wiley Rouse may be related to your Everet?

I don't know if they were related. On the 1845 tax - Forsyth - Mills Rouse, Norman Rouse, and Wiley Rouse were listed. They were also on the 1840 Forsyth census. In 1853, Norman was listed on tax records in Lumpkin Co. He was living close to Everet so I thot they could be brothers. Wiley was also listed in Lumpkin Co. Don't know if it is yours tho. I don't know if they were related. There was a Wiley Rouse listed in the Lumpkin Co., Ga. census along with Norman, Pleasant, and Everet. I was hoping you had come across Everet somewhere. He was born (Everet) in Ga. and died at age of 25. I cannot find him before 1850 or his wife after 1850 altho their children were in the census after they got married.
