Joseph Allott and Jane Cape's son Joseph Henry was born in Derbyshire where Joseph was teaching in 1857. The family moved to Staffordshire after Derbyshire - where Jane died. They were in Lancashire at the time of the 1861 census. By 1871 Joseph had left teaching and retrained as a clergyman. Joseph Henry became a shop assistant and married Emily - I think - I need to check my notes probably in Blackburn. Sarah Jane Ruth was the baby daughter of Joseph and Jane who was looked after by Thomas and Elizabeth in infancy. She became known as Jane after her mother died and was back with Joseph and his second wife Eliza Chambers by 1871 in Rishton near Blackburn.
