Robertson Family Reunion

The descendants of James and William Robertson held their fifty-ninth annual reunion Saturday, August 22. It was held at the Toleston park in Gary, in honor of Mr & Mrs James Robertson, it being their fiftieth wedding anniversary. They were born and reared in Lafayette and resided here until a few years ago. One hundred and sixty guests took part in the grand march.
The wedding party of fifty years ago was seated at a long table, a beautiful wedding cake forming the center piece. The guests of honor were presented with $50 in gold by the relatives, a beautiful basket of flowers by Rebekah and Odd Fellows lodges, and a set of silver to the mother and a watch chain to the father by the children.

Zwissler and family, Mr & Mrs L.C. Kantz and family.
A reception was held in honor of Mr & Mrs Robertson Saturday evening at their home in Gary. Raymond Ball accompanied by Mrs R.K. Watson entertained with the following selections: “When You and I Were Young”, “Maggie” and “I Love You Truly”.
