In the NSHVS there is this record: Amanda Gardner and Henry Overmass married 1886 in Queens County Item can be found in Registration Year: 1886 - Book: 1834 - Page: 119 - Number: 41. He was 62, a widower born Seton, Devon to James and Sarah J.

I do not find him in the 1881 Census in NS. but there are two Henry Overmass in Devon in the 1881 English census.

There are two people asking about Overmass: christineover/John Llewellyn location and search place unknown; and Carolyn White Yorke who is looking for info on the above Amanda Gardner.

In NSHVS I find Amanda Elizabeth White, died 1938 in Milton, Queens County
Item can be found in Registration Year: 1938 - Book: 182 - Page: 82..Th death record say she was the wife of Henry White and parents unknown as she was "as a child taken from county home"

She is in the 1881 Census in Liverpool as a servant of Alexander Grant. Carolyn can look in the 1871 Census for an Amanda at

In the 1891 Census Amanda White ,30, widow, is living in Liverpool with children A Henry or as Henry A (the enumerator put all middle initial first), Sarah J 4 and William I 1.

Amanda (--?--) might be in the 1861 Queens Census living in an institution.
