Jane Wood's parents were David De Clark, son of Cornelius De Clark b July 27, 1798, christened Aug 12, 1798 At Clarkstown. In 1850 (Fed Census) he was living in Clarkstown, a merchant. He died Jan 31, 1870, aged 71-6-4, bur. in the Nanuel Churchyard. (Budke @2625). His will dated Mar. 25, 1867, was probabted Mar 14, 1870 in Rockland Co. In it he mentioned (1) wife: Maria; (2) sons: James, Cornelius and Abram; (3) daughter Eliza; (4) children of deceased daughter Jane wife of John Wood; Edgar Wood and Anna Wood. The executors were sons James and Cornelius. Married June 30, 1827, Maria Demarest, daughter of Cornelius Demarest and Elizabeth Sarven.
