My grandmother, Marjorie, pre 1916 her surname was either Lacomp (or something like that) or Hallet or Hunter - she didnt leave many traces of her id. We think she lied about it on her wedding certificate (god knows why) but have never found any confirmation that this is correct. It was stated as 'Marjorie Hunter-Hallett' but she told her children it was 'Lacompte' or 'LaConte' depending which one you spoke with. Anyway, she was supposed to have been crewing as a stewardess on the Lusitania when it went down in May 1915. If you could confirm her existance on the crew list it would be of great help. After December 1916, she used the surname 'Docketty'. She did however, disappear in 1936 - to where we dont know.
