Hi Lars, I am descended from James Davis who was born in Kentucky about 1810, married in Eel River township Indiana in 1830 and died in nearby Jamestown, Boone county. He has been my dead end so to speak through this line. Some on ancestry have listed Enoch Davis that you speak of as his father, others have not. The only clue I have is a copy of his Will which lists his brothers John and Nathan as his executors. Most people listing Enoch have a John as one of his sons but I have yet to find a Nathan. It would seem likely both James and Enoch coming from Kentucky then settling in the same area in Indiana that they would be father and son. Anything you know would help. Thanks in advance.
