1. Leven Nicholas

d. prior to March, 1831, 1821 Bath Co. VA per Don Norman
Arrived Fort Redstone VA now PA near Brownsville, Fayette Co.in 1772
Zephaniah stated he came to Jackson's River with his father about 1779. Leven is thought to have died there.
Campbell's letters #26 about Nicholas Co. "Records of Pioneers" in WV Archives:
“The next settlers on Peters Creek (now Summersville, WV) was Eleven Nichols, who settled near Gilboa Church about the year 1798 or 1799. He and his son Zephaniah, built the first mill on Peters Creek. It was poorly constructed and did not do much good. Eleven Returned to Virginia, but his family remained here. I believe he never owned any land."
(Wrong - he owned at least 250 acres in Bath Co. VA near Warm Springs.)
March 4, 1831, Leven, Jr. sold one-sixth of land, his share of his father Levin's estate to William D. Atkinson. Part of estate was near Warm Springs, Bath Co. Virginia, ( Deed book page 520) and land on Peter's Creek, Nicholas Co. (Nicholas Co. WV Deed Book. Vol 2, page 407-408)
