I can understand why you're upset. We all want our ancestors to be accurately represented forever. But by making a tree public, there will always be mistakes made by people copying photos, documents, and information into their own trees. I've had the same problem when I tried to point out to someone that a picture they copied wasn't for that person in their tree. I will continue to leave my tree public because there are too many good genealogists who will benefit from what I have in my tree. Also, if I left my tree private and I were to die, no one would be around to give them copies of some of the wonderful pictures I have in my tree.
